The Wild East

small flight issues

With high hopes held by myself and the crew, we were en route to Eastern Europe to the wild east. With as many details lined up as I could arrange, I felt confident in taking the crew on an adventure that would quickly turn into much more.

The whole airport was on strike

We took a quick stop in Munich, Germany to visit the Rome office and the Onboard office and from there, we where headed out in true fashion with old prop planes, land rovers, trailers and sleds to the far corners of Romania for mountains to ourselves and perfect snow…we hoped.

our not so new plane ride

After what worked out to be about 39 hours of travel we arrived at the first stop to grey bird weather but some decent snow on the ground.

home sweet home

We were in good spirits and had the adventure ahead of us.

why sled when you can drive?

9 hours out, the locals whispering about wolves, 2 sleds broken and lost in the woods after dark trying to get back to the truck. Long story short, we had made it through day 1.

Sled 1 broken 2 miles in

a little fun warm up
